Typewritten and signed letter, dated 4 Jan. 1902, and addressed to Barton O. Aylesworth of Fort Collins, Colorado. Boyle responds to Aylesworth's request for autobiographical information. Also included is the envelope in which the letter was sent. With the collection is a portrait of Boyle clipped from a magazine.

Handwritten and signed letter, dated 3 Nov. 1901, and addressed to "Dear Sir," probably Barton O. Aylesworth. Burton lists some of his recent publications. Also included is a typed, form letter sent by Aylesworth to Burton upon which Burton wrote responses to the inquiries in the missive. With these materials is an envelope in which the items were sent. Also included is a portrait of Burton clipped from a magazine.

Scope and Contents Two handwritten and signed letters. One is dated 5 Sept. 1894 and is addressed to "Dear Sir" (probably Barton O. Aylesworth) in which Burroughs responds to a request for biographical information. Also included is an envelope probably in which the item was sent. The other letter is dated 2 April of an unspecified year and is addressed to "Miss Gertrude Stroham" (?) in which Burroughs tells her she may quote certain passages from his works.
